Here's a question that I received and would like to share.
What should I look for when deciding on group swim lessons for my kids, ages 6 and 8?
The best swim schools ensure that children have ample opportunities to practice during the lesson to maximize learning.
So, waiting to be
called while the teacher takes one student at a time is not helping students learn.
By the time a child is six and especially eight years old, they should have mastered the skill of circling the lane so
the instructor can keep all children busy.
This way, the teacher can speak directly with students as they go by and receive immediate feedback.
If two lessons per week is not an affordable option, following this up with recreational swim time once a week should help their progress too.
